lightly used Boss RED LED on a very small rectangle circuit board + green & orange wires (works fine) for Boss compact size pedals - came off of a lightly used 2005 DD3 pedal (the DD-3B version) (NO pedal included / NO other items included)

Up for grabs is a lightly used BOSS RED LED on a very small green rectangle shaped circit board + green & orange wires. There is also a very small white plastic tubular piece that supports the RED LED and it's metal feet on the circuit board. For Boss Compact Size (regular size) pedals. NO pedal/s included.

This is a genuine BOSS item.

LED lights up fine.

This item came off of a lightly used 2005 DD-3 pedal (the DD-3B version - which was released in 2001) (NO pedal included / NO other items included).

• But it can be used on most BOSS pedals.
• Many BOSS pedals have a slightly different style of this type of item (SEE last two pictures) - where the LED on a smalled rectangle with rounded corners tan / green circuit board. Please message me if you prefer this style item instead of the one for sale in this listing.
• The very small circuit board has two factory made holes - one who is for the screw (screw NOT included) and the other hole goes into a small metal post on the pedal casing (pedal NOT included). The hole spacing is / are the same for both styles: the one for sale in this lisitng and for the other style that is NOT for sale in this listing (unless you prefer that style). The other style is shown as a reference (see last two pictures).
• I think that the very older Boss pedals had a slightly different size LED.

This item is very clean.

The wires have light bends.

The wires are attached to the circuit board fine.

Length of Green Wire to bare end is about 2 and 1/2 inches

Length of Orange Wire to bare end is about 2 and 1/4 inches.

There should be enough of each wire to attach this item to your Boss pedal circuit board. But there is a chance that you will need to lengthen one or both wires.

NOTE: If you don't feel comfortable unsoldering your existing wires off of your Boss pedal circuit board (or if it is too tricky or if it is too complicated for you to do so) - I will include small pieces of black electrical heat shrink tubing (enough of each a piece for you to cut two put on each wire connection) - SEE pictures # 16 and # 17. This way you can securely connect the wires from this item to the existing LED wires on your pedal's circuit board.

• You'll need a soldering and electrical solder.
• Do one wire connection at a time. Best way to do this is:
• 1) Leave a good amout of the wires on your pedal's circuit board - and strip off a small piece of the insulation from each wire.
• 2) Slip on the electrical heat shrink tubing.
• 3) Then twist the bare ends of the wires (orange to orange and green to green) and add a small amount of solder to the bare wires. Let the solder cool off for a minute or two.
• 4) Slid the electrical heat shrink tubing over the connection(s). Instead of a heat gun -you can use the soldering iron to carefully and gently go over the heat shrink tubing to shrink it. Just don't over do it.
• Please mesage me if you have questions or if you want my advice on how you should go about attaching this item to your Boss pedal.
