Up for grabs is used genuine Boss BLUE Label JAPAN Bottom Plate. From the early to mid 1980s. This Boss BLUE Label JAPAN Bottom Plate was originally from a DD-2 pedal -- NO pedal / NO other items / NO screws.

When looking at the bottom plate as seen in picture # 1 - the lower right corner has small break / cut in metal.

Additional written details about the condition of this item are further down in the description.

As you can see - the center area of the back edge is designed to have a small cut out for the older style power jack (the type that is NOT mounted to the PCB board).

NOTE: The label on this bottom plate is designed to NOT have the serial number on it. This is because the pedal that is is from had the serial number on a lable that was inside the battery compartment (pedal NOT included).

To make sure that you get the correct item for your Boss pedal - here is some informative info:

NOTE: From what I know - only the Boss DD-2 pedal, the Boss DSD-2 pedal, and VERY early Boss DD-3 pedal (NO pedals included) used this type of bottom plate (with the cut out for the power jack) with the BLUE Bottom Label JAPAN with NO serial number small label and PSA information.

And the Boss DD-2, the Boss DSD-2, and the VERY early Boss DD-3 pedals (NO pedals included) were designed to NOT have the serial number on the bottom label - the serial number label was in the battery compartment.

NOTE: Some versions of the DD-3 pedal - the early versions (No pedal included) had an almost similar type of bottom plate (with the cut out for the power jack) with the BLUE Bottom Label JAPAN. But those bottom labels had the very small serial number label on the bottom center area of the Blue Bottom Label.

Other information that I am provided so that you get the correct bottom plate for your pedal.

NOTE: In December 1990 and afterwards the DD-3 pedal (NO pedal included) was / is designed to have the smaller style power jack which is mounted to the PCB board. Therefore - the bottom plates on DD-3 pedal made from December 1990 and afterwards do NOT have the small cut out on the center area of the back edge. I am only mentioning this so that you get the correct bottom plate for your BOSS pedal.

• A few other Boss model pedals made with Blue JAPAN Labels WITHOUT the small cut out on the center area of the back edge of the bottom plate and have the very small serial number label on the bottom Blue Bottom Label are : DC-3 and PS-2. NO pedals included.

NOTE: there is / was a version of the CH-1 and a version of the CE-5 that did have a BLUE Label - but it was made in TAIWAN and it did NOT have the cut out on the bottom plate. This is info that it would have

I put it's condtion as GOOD with in general - is accurate.

This Boss BLUE Label JAPAN Bottom Plate is in used condition. Most areas look great for its age (41 to 45 years old). Not perfect - but not too abused. SEE pictures.

The main imperfection that it has is that lower right corner of the metal of the bottom plate has a small break / cut. Even though it has this break / cut -- the bottom plate fits fine on the corresponding Boss pedal (which has NON PC board attached power jack power jack) . And the other three screw holes are fine - so the bottom plate will still be secure on the corresponding BOSS pedal that you put it on (which has the NON PC board attached power jack).

Other imperfection that can be seen are the upper and lower areas of the rubber part have some scuffs (from where velcro used to be). Scuffs caused from when the surface adhesiveresidue fromthe velcro was rubbed off.

And the silver-ish gray finish on the bottom side (under-side) of the bottm plate has many scratche and nicks. And it has a couple of small round tan spots.

Other things to mention are:

• On the bottom label -- there is a very small dark blue spot under the first letter A inthe word JAPAN. The upper mid left area has a very small nick.
• The black rubber has hardened from age and from use. The outer edges have wear. And it has a few very tiny nicks
• The outer silver-ish / gray metal areas of the front side have some surface oxidation and a little bit of discolroation.

There may be some imperfections that I overlooked.   There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.   And - there maybe some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person (like glares and dust specks).
