Retro Future Cool.
If George Jetson played guitar, this would be his amp of choice. A Danelectro built Silvertone for the Sears Roebuck catalogue of 1959.
From the dawn of amplification when the number of tubes and rectifiers was the badge of quality (in the catalog descriptions, anyway), through to the advent of the transistor, where 'instant-on' was the big deal, Silvertone amplifiers provided players with the extra volume and distinctive tone they needed, at a Sears Roebuck easy payment price. How many newspapers were delivered to pay for a Silvertone amplifier? The bulk of Sears' amps (and certainly most everyone's favorites) were those great sounding, stylish, funky sound machines manufactured by Danelectro.
This one is 10 watts with a 12" alnico speaker. It's got tube tremolo and a wrap around grill. It's in exceptional condition and looks and sounds great. This little beauty has had one owner since new and was kept in a showroom setting. It's all original with a two pronged power cord. It has been brought to power with a variac and played for a full hour straight without issue. As with all vintage amps we suggest a qualified tech look it over before prolonged play.
