1960s Paiste 14" Formula 602 Hi-Hats

998/1038g

Cymbal Craftsman Modified

14 3/16" Top Hat - 998g (sits slightly undersized from bottom hat)

14 3/8" Bottom Hat - 1038g

Both hats look to be Solid Stamp, putting them around 1965 to 1972.

These hats were originally a mismatched pair of roughly 15 1/2" cymbals, weighing in at 1115g each. The bottom hat was a crash that had been cut down in attempt to repair cracks and repurpose.

We gave these strays to the skilled hands of Paul Francis at Cymbal Craftsman, and he returned them as a set that truly sound like they belong together. Articulate and warm stick definition and chick. Naturally dark and dry from the age and patina. The new favorite hats of the shop.
