Don’t know much about Claricon, made in Japan but, this is one of the hottest, brightest and cleanest sounding high impedance microphones I have ever heard. It’s shorter, fatter body looks a little different but it has a very big strong sparkly sound. If it needs anything, it would be more bass or bottom end so it might be great for cymbals or other percussion .
