Vintage 1960's Calrad DM21 dynamic omni-directional microphone Dual Z / Hi Z harp mic w cable Olson Lafayette

 You are looking at a nice older Calrad model DM-21 dynamic microphone from the 1960's or early 70's. This unique microphone was an affordable Japanese entry level model and was a general purpose microphone with dual Z settings though currently set at high impedance. It comes with the original cable shown.

 This all metal design with satin chrome finish has a classic mid century vibe and has the common mid century lower pistol grip which was very common on many mics from the 1960's and 70's. It was very similar design to the Electro Voice 664 model mic being sold during that time. The DM-21 was a basic dynamic mic with omni-directional characteristics which picks up a bit more background noise. 

 The mic has a Hi Z & Lo Z option but that depends on how you wire the mics cable on the 4 pin connector and this one again, is set at Hi Z giving you more of a clear tone and this will be ideal for a HAM radio set up, harp work or if you just want a classic "rockabilly" tone for singing. The signal strength is very strong. 100%.

 The mic itself is gorgeous and the nicest DM-21 I have ever come across. Virtually no wear on the upper and lower portions. The grill is perfect as well. The Calrad badge looks excellent and the on / off switch works like new.

 The original 20 foot foot cable is soft, pliable and like new. More than enough room for any stage work and the cable has a standard male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most audio equipment.

 I'd give the mic a solid 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. The mic will screw onto any stand you have. I would recommend using a stand with a heavier, wider base as this mic is top heavy.
