Here is a Simpson Sears Silvertone vintage classic just like the one that Billy Gibbons used to create that early ZZ Top sound.
It's a mid-sixties, 5 watt combo with an 8" alnico speaker, IIRC, tubes are 12AX7 preamp and single-ended 6V6 power. 6X4 rectifier.
The overdriven tone is very SMOOTH, resonant, and extremely well balanced. It also has a compression feel that is really nice and easy to play. It's in wonderful condition cosmetically and mechanically. All original with a two pronged cord. It has been tested with an auto-variac and played for an hour without issue. With all vintage tube amps we suggest a qualified tech look it over before prolonged, regular use.
