This is a refurbished instrument from MIRC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Corporation). MIRC buys instruments from the manufacturer that for whatever reason don't make the cut to be sold as new. They also handle returns and discontinued models. They repair what they can within reason and wholesale to dealers. The serial number is changed and "Used" stamped on the back of the headstock per their agreement with Gretsch. This guitar has no visible blemishes that we could find. Everything works and it plays great. It's like getting a brand new professionally set up guitar at a great price.
