Custom ES-165 Herb Ellis Light Burst
Killer jazz box in immaculate condition, almost no discernible playing wear. If it were not for the replaced pick-guard, I would have rated it as mint with no concerns.
I am the second owner. The original owner immediately replaced the stock pick guard with a new one without the ugly volume knob. The new pick guard as a hidden volume knob AND a tone knob. The original pick guard is in the case and still has the protective plastic cover from the factory.
Hard to let this go as the Gibson neck and short scale are so comfortable to play but almost all my playing time is classical guitar so it doesn't benefit anyone for this to sit in the closet.
The guitar was made in 2008.
I have had a couple requests to measure the neck. It's a little tricky to do while strung but I did my best to measure at 1st and 10th:
21.6mm at the 1st
26.1mm at the 10th
