For Sale: 1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard - Tobacco Sunburst

I’m parting with my 1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard. I’ve owned this guitar since 1993, and it has been a reliable companion for countless gigs over the last 30 years.

Condition:

Vintage 1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard in tobacco burst. The guitar was fitted with a Kahler tremolo in the 1980s, a popular mod of the era. This makes it a great player-grade vintage Les Paul with trem capability.

Overall, the guitar is in good condition, showing the expected wear and tear from regular use, including some minor scratches and dings that add to its character (see photos). There are also some faint cracks in the finish that you have to look very closely to see. The action is smooth and it's easy to play.

• The sale includes an original hard case for protection during transport. It has two broken buckles (out of four :)) and it is not in perfect shape, but it serves it's purpose fine.
• At some point I changed out the tuning pegs, so I also have the old tuning pegs included. Neither set is original Gibson from what I can tell.
• Also included are some extra volume knobs.
• Nifty decorative metal Mercedes numbers on the guitar case (courtesy of the previous owners :))
