Very rare to see an early Kamaka “pineapple uke” in Hawaiian (not mainland) mahogany (Kamani) - a different strain from Philippine, Honduran, African, Sapele etc. Pineapple headstock decal, white label (apparently coated with glue during a repair). This style decal and label made in 1930-1936. Rope binding around top and soundhole, with one small broken section at soundhole. 2 repaired top and one back crack; Non-original friction tuners, replaced with 1930’s patent tuners. Except for broken section and slight lower-bout “dip” (does not affect playing and very common), beautiful condition and great tone. Comes with non-original softshell case.
