Here is an absolute cannon of a vintage guitar at a fraction of the price-a 1960s Guild F-55 Jumbo! The sound hole sticker is missing, but based on the headstock shape, pearl tuners and truss rod cover, we can infer that it was built around that time, before Guild ultimately switched to the crown-shaped design. Spruce top, flame maple back and sides, this thing is loud! It has been refinished (with a rad neck stinger) and had an aftermarket pickguard added. The state of the guitar suggests that there was a neck reset at some point-the repair work is structurally all there but cosmetically shows the work. The most noticeable signs are various misalignments in the body binding and a repaired crack running through the back of the headstock. A jumbo hardshell case is included. I’ve loved playing her, but at an imposing 5’5”, I’m afraid she‘s too much guitar for me to handle. Local pickup only, but I’d be willing to drive to the Chicago/Milwaukee area. No returns, but please feel free to ask any questions!
