Plays amazingly fast, has been played a lot, sounds great with 70's rock and roll attitude, and with paf style humbuckers that are smooth but can really bite and cut on the top end. It can be warm and fat also and does jazz and blues equally well. It definitely sounds vintage, and it is. About 50 years old.. Give or take due to the Norlin era numbering system confusion with serial numbers. Frets are pretty darned level, frets are low, almost fretless wonder style. It's been that way for the 25+ years that i've had it and always has played great with zero issues. I did have a fret level/dress done a few years back.. It's never had any damage to the neck or headstock except the dings and nicks shown in photos.

This thing is magic. Super light- 6lb 15oz Comes with original hardshell case, It's from the earliest Norlin years with a 6 digit serial number, things were very disorganized with serial numbers at that time for Gibson. This was made at some point between 1970 and 1972 according to general internet research. Although, when I first had it checked out by a guitar center employee 20 years ago, i was told it was probably a 1977.. ..for what its worth, the first 2 digits are "77" but the consensus is they didn't start using the year as the first 2 serial number digits until they switched all serial numbers to 8 digits long... between 1974 and 1977 apparently. See the photo of the serial number- if you know more about the gibson dating system than i do... :) All I really know for sure is that its absolutely wonderful, and its filled with a terribly sassy mojo that says, "I'm old enough to know... Don't ask me my age". This guitar has been my number one for most of my life but i'm doing a different thing now and it's ready for it's next owner.
