Chapman ML-1 2009 - Original First Run - #371 of 500 - Modified

This guitar is in overall good condition and has been heavily modified from its original state.

The body's original black finish was sanded down then refinished with tung oil.

All of the original electronics have been replaced.

The neck hot rails pickup (~9k) and middle single coil pickup (6.9k) are both generic and sound fine.
In the bridge position is a Tonerider Octane humbucker (12.8k), which is a great sounding pickup; strong without losing definition.

The original 3-way switch has been replaced with a 5-way rotary switch that gives the normal HSS switching options.

A previous owner installed a killswitch in the middle of the three controls. I removed it and replaced it with a miniswitch that splits the coils of the neck and bridge pickups.
(Due to a wiring error, if the coil split is active while in positions 2 or 4, there is no signal.)

This Wilkinson bridge is a good vibrato unit; it is currently decked with all 5 springs. The whammy bar is included but the backplate is missing.

Has some noticeable fretwear on the higher strings; could use a level, crown, and polish. Fretboard could also use a good cleaning.

Other specs:
- 2-piece solid mahogany body (it's heavy!)
- 25.5" scale length
- Maple neck with ebony fingerboard
- 13.75" radius
- Grover tuners

The back of the headstock is signed by Rob Chapman.

Includes the original gig bag with certificate of authenticity.

Also includes the pictured DiMarzio locking strap.

Comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
