Looking for the true vintage tone of the 1970s Gibson Thunderbird? This Original 1970s Gibson Thunderbird Wiring Harness delivers that unmistakable sound used by many legendary players of the era.

• Pickups wired in series: Neck volume acts as a master, while the bridge volume controls both pickups in series. You won’t get the bridge pickup by itself, but you’ll achieve that rich, sought-after ’70s tone.

Premium components:

• Bourns 500k pots for volumes

• 250k tone pot

• Vintage NOS Orange Drop .047 capacitor

• Switchcraft / GLS jack for reliable connections.

Unlike the later Gibson models that used 100k pots and parallel wiring, this harness captures the full, powerful tone of the original Thunderbird.

Included are easy-to-follow instructions for proper installation—note that the neck pickup hot and ground wire onto the pot lugs, unlike modern wiring setups.
