JVG- Luthier built STRAT BODY  with a Patina Nitrocellulose instrument lacquer finish its not not exactly a relic not as new but it has this Beautiful custom color NEW COLOR added to my guitar body a JVG custom nitro mix  in  DEEP EMERALD  GREEN Pearl CANDY over a Brilliant metallic silver NITRO base this is a true CANDY paint job witha mid-coat " Sparkel " with aged clear over that with those gorgeous deep 60s style sexy contours

When I was a 10 year old in 1964 my friends and I use to paint our skate boards similar to this then later in like 68-69 our surfboards got a similar treatment I graduated topainting cars at 14 just a quick fun fact.

this CANDY paint is a little more expensive process true candy base lacquer silver metallic with se e threw candy green lacquer over that , patina aged lacquer over that but the candy effect depth is next level cool. Like Pearls I'm experimenting in the wood shed with lots of colors anyone like Antigua?

It takes me about 30 - 40 WORKING BUSINESS days or less on average to cut-shape-seal coat it-candy base coat - top coats of this beautiful green pearl metalic then an intercoat clear with more green glitter tastfully done not heavy like a boat finish more subtle sparkel the lights will pick up the added shimmer.

This true lacquer candy job is done with a silver base metalic then candy green pearl applied then for fun I added lite amount of sparkel glitter to an intercoat clear then clear nitro over that the glitter is subtil but there will look cool under lights and not as noticable in natural light situations.... not a boat finish sounds like a lot of paint it is a lot of time but the paint is very thin coats

This color is a Candy apple DEEP EMERALD green lacquer a vintage Custom CHEVY color from 1969 69 Z/28 Camero and Vette color I always loved this color in that all Nitro lacquer finish we have also used the famous old school under coat sealer tinted yellow same as Leo's boys did back in the day ( 50s-60's )  these bodys are then thin skin top coated with nitro instrument lacquer and finish allows for woods natural grain to show threw thin skin shrunkin in for ultimate tone and is custom formulated by JVGuitars. Iv learned from painting cars for decades now since 1970 at 14 and I have painted dozens of custom high end cars trucks and bikes -helmets - guitars - vintage furnature you name it for well over 40 years Iv been a Luthier since 1992. This JBass body is built to std blueprint of the original parts can vary in size by a few MM between the body and fitting a neck often it is required of the guitar builder to “fit” the neck to a body and that is done by the assembler at time of building this is nothing new this is why "Mr Leo F " would sand neck or pocket use shims and so on to fine tune adjust and or fit , this prep work is to be expected and should your neck or body require you the builder to make the final fit this is ordinary and not a defect and is not returnable for such reasons.
