I'm selling this awesome EB 232 Rivoli bass I bought at Carter Vintage in Nashville on tour a while ago. This is a fantastic bass and I've used it on a ton of sessions. It feels great and sounds awesome, especially with a felt pick. I don't use it a ton anymore and it should go to someone who is going to play it more than I do. This bass is missing the tone switch and the bridge cover and has some scratches on the finish (mostly on the back of the bass) but is otherwise in pretty good shape. I looked up the serial number and couldn't get an exact year (they didn't have one at Carter Vintage when I bought it either) but it seems like it was made sometime in the mid-late 60's. Apparently there were a lot of duplicate serial numbers during this period. I've been seeing these priced around $4k-5k on here lately, but considering the missing switch I feel like $2750 is a fair price. I would love not to ship this bass if possible. If you are interested and in the Los Angeles area we could totally arrange a local pickup and a small discount. If you want to hear what this bass sounds like, I did an episode of Bass Tales on the Scott's Bass Lessons youtube channel a while ago where I played this bass. The link is embedded below. W00t!
