PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The BAE B15 is a three-band gyrator circuit 500 series EQ that combines Jensen transformer-balanced inputs and outputs with legendary Avedis 1122 op-amps for a one-of-a-kind sound. The BAE B15 offers the best of both worlds: the fast, punchy tone of the API 312 preamp and the unmistakable color and richness of the iconic Neve 1073.

HIGH-QUALITY COMPONENTS

With hand-wired, all-discrete Class A circuitry, the BAE B15 EQ delivers low noise and high headroom—almost like a hi-fi version of your favorite vintage designs. Hearty Jensen transformers at the input and output stages add warmth to any recording, while Avedis 1122 op-amps ensure minimal distortion.

Ideal for tracking, mixing and mastering, the B15 is capable of everything from subtle sonic shaping to total tonal transformation. The B15 is highly versatile and designed for use with live or sampled drums, guitars, vocals, acoustic instruments—even your mix bus.

SIMPLE CONTROLS

The BAE B15 utilizes silky-smooth Elma rotary switches and three custom machined aluminum knobs. Each band features dual-concentric controls with five selectable frequencies and up to +16 dB of boost and cut.

Dial in silky smooth highs using the top band, with selectable frequencies at 6.8 kHz, 8.2 kHz, 10 kHz, 12 kHz and 16 kHz. Capture a creamy midrange using the center band, with selectable frequencies at 560 Hz, 750 Hz, 1.5k Hz, 3.3 kHz and 5.5 kHz. Beef up the bottom-end on any track with the low band, which offers selectable frequencies at 63 Hz, 120 Hz, 200 Hz, 300 Hz and 430 Hz.

All three bands default to peaking filters, although simple push-button controls at the bottom of the module enable high and low shelving options.
