Vintage late 1940's / 1950's Gibson (Stone Made) 16 inch (lower bout) Hard Case
This case is in fantastic shape for it's age. It's a rare variant of the Gibson hard case. The brown lining was used for a very short amount of time around 1950. This case has some obvious wear - mostly to the exterior of the case - the interior remains very nice and the lining is supple. There are no offensive odors. The original "Stone Case Co, Brooklyn NY" is still in-tact.
This is correct for any Gibson Archtop or Flattop from the late 40's or 1950's with a 16" lower bout.
Models include: ES-175, ES-175D, L-4, L-50, J-45, J-50, Hummingbird and others!
