This guitar teleports you to the American 1960’s when you first lay hands on it! It’s the sound and feel of music from Elvis, Carl Perkins, and Ricky Nelson, and it completely encapsulates the sound and vibe of that time. It’s ready to cut tracks directly to wax at Sun Studios. Amazing that it’s come come all that way from that time and it’s still shredding like an absolute beast!

The guitar plays fantastic. The neck is super straight and plays effortlessly all the way up and down with low action. It gets that solid rockabilly rhythm chunk, it would be a great frontperson’s guitar, but the action is low enough to shred some Stray Cats leads. It’s a really comfortable feel in your hand that makes you feel like Roy Orbison taking the stage, I love guitars that simplify overthought parts into just the core of what they should be.

The headstock is the beautiful swooped version with two topographic levels like on the original 60's Fender Starcasters, honestly the Fender Starcaster totally copied this headstock because this was a solid 10 years before the Starcaster. This headstock is just about as cool as it gets in my opinion. It’s just so rad!

The pickups are totally killer. Neck pickup gets that 50’s gulpy rhythmic sound, bridge has a bit of cutting twang but is still full and woody. I love the layout of the electronics, That big epic pickup selector is like a straight up doorknob. The original Kluson tuners are all there and in great shape, and all of the original bakelite buttons are there which is a miracle! The trem works beautifully, it bounces back in tune really nicely. Through and through it's a very healthy guitar.

This guitar shines as an acoustic songwriting guitar just like it does as an electric performing and recording guitar. It sounds awesome and feels inspiring just writing parts on it unamplified on the couch.

Overall it’s in totally fantastic condition for the age, it plays like a dream. It has some tiny wear here and there from rubbing up against the case while in storage, but it's in really amazing condition overall. There's a bit of wear on the headstock and some random parts here and there on the body, but the guitar presents with a very clean appearance and it looks really nice. Comes with the original classic 1960’s Kay case that is also in beautiful condition!
