Restored Peavey Renown 112. 160 watts RMS @ 4 ohm. A beast.
So for those who dont know, this is an amazing piece of gear that few have had the priviledge to own. Equipped with a 200 watt scorpion, these are not easy to find.
It does cleans but the clean channel is mostly for a pedal platform, not something I'd want for playing dixie. This amp was designed to play rock n' roll and heavy metal.
The dirty channel on this amp is exsquisite. The tonal clarity and razor's edge distortion make this combo a sleeper studio amp. Anyone who hears this amp is blown away by its raw sonic pedigree and its lush saturation.
It has a default lead channel which has a push/pull pot that enables a perfect boost for high gain metal and a footswitchable crunch channel for playing with your band. These 2 channels within the dirty channel are setup with an identical circuit so when you set them up for the lead boost, your tone doesnt change, just the amount of boost that you set.
It also has a push pull pot on the EQ for tonality and the real magic inside this amp is the 16 built in digital reverbs that vary between millisecond and a hauntingly long 19 second decay. These reverbs can be dialed in further with a level control giving you the flexibility needed to find the perfect blend.
As an added bonus this amp is also capable of utilizing the rarest of footswitches, the peavey digital reverb controller. AKA the unicorn.
Obviously that controller is not included but a 4 button footswitch is. It toggles the reverb, the lead/crunch and the clean. There's a chorus button on this footswitch too because it's actually made for the Stereo Chorus 212 but it has no effect on this amplifier.
This amp also features an effects loop, preamp out and power amp in.
