Carmine Appice's Ludwig, No. 201 Speed King Bass Drum Pedals (Pair) - 1960s

Straight from our Carmine Appice Drum and Cymbals Collection.

We left Carmine's pair of 1960s Ludwig Speed King Bass Drum Pedals exactly the way we received them. The original grime really shows their history. If that grime could talk it would tell the story of one of the most innovative and influential drummers of our era. Looks like Carmine played the hell out of these pedals. One is still fully operational and ready to keep rockin'. The other....not so much. After decades under the crushing weight of the most powerful feet in the drum world, that pedal has earned a quiet retirement in somebody's display case.

These pedals are a fascinating piece of history from one of the pioneers of double bass rock drumming.
