This is our retrofit Wolf style tailpiece for older model Wolph guitars that have a stop tailpiece.
This part can also be utilized to replace the stop tailpiece on other electric guitars, such as a Gibson SG.
The part is made of Stainless Steel 316, but could also be made from brass upon request.
Included in your purchase is the tailpiece and 5 screws. The tailpiece consists of 2 parts, as shown. A bottom part and a top part.
Various tools are going to be required for installation, and the tailpiece bushings inside the guitar may need to be removed to install this part.
An instruction manual will be available soon from the Phred Instruments website.
Benefits of this taipliece include a cosmetic upgrade/new look for your guitar, and top mounting string installations. It has yet to be determined if there is an improvement in tone, but it could be assumed that there will be with more surface area between the tailpiece and the guitar for vibrational transfers between the guitar body and tailpiece.
