Are you like me, and periodically crave more fuzz? Sometimes it's fun to go completely over the top and ooze fuzz all over the house, the neighbors, the dogs-maybe even the cat!

So, I built a fuzz within a fuzz. A fuzz pedal that can get even "fuzzier!"

Here's some information to share about this pedal and the Flow Pedal Company:

Both channels of fuzz are based off the Maestro MFZ-1, and works off a standard 9 volt DC plug-in, sorry, no room for batteries.

I've limited this version & graphics of "Here Comes the Fuzz", to 10.

The cool & controversial Artwork was created by my wife, Cheryl.

These pedals sound great and have tons of subtle expressive variations with only a slight movement of a knob.

Anyone who has pushed one fuzz pedal into another knows that the noise factor rises, it's what I call the "white noise of fuzz (WNF)“! My present knowledge on how to tame this is to incorporate either another volume knob, to turn it down, or an EQ to try and isolate it. I elected to install a variation of Jack Orman's EQ based off the EH Big Muff.

The EQ has a slight effect on tone, and seems to lower the WNF a bit. It also lowers the overall volume of the pedal when engaged, I find this can be used to help create another tonal landscape. I originally planned on using it to help tame the fuzz when both channels were on, but found using it with only the first channel can also create interesting textures for the ear to play with.

The fuzz itself is based off a Vero design of Maestro’s MFZ-1, which I found online at Guitar FX Layouts. Even though it’s slightly modified (I'm trying to add something unique to the pedals so they're not complete clones of other peoples work and design), I extend many thanks to this site (and others like it) for teaching and inspiring me to even attempt a pedal like this duet of fuzz. Each channel of "Here Comes The Fuzz" has a different 8-pin IC chip to deliver a variation of fuzz tones.

The pedal is designed to feed channel one fuzz into channel two fuzz. You also have the option to bypass the EQ, or engage it for use on only channel one, or when both channels are on.

Channel two fuzz cannot be engaged without channel one.

"Here Comes the Fuzz" probably took 8-10 hours to build from start to finish-yes, I'm slow-so, this is more than a fair American price!

FLOW PEDAL CO. was dreamt up with the help of my late, great friend John Chruscielski, wife Cheryl and myself. John handles the spirit, Cheryl handles the artwork, and I handle the solder fumes. The plan is to try & carry on building pedals until the big fly swatter in the sky comes a swinging & makes contact! Until then, the pedals are guaranteed!

I’m not out to make a living building pedals. I'm just trying to supplement my underfunded retirement (SS). It would be nice to recoup material costs & allow further explorations into the experience of sound. When I stumble across something of interest, I'll usually make a few versions of it. That way I can either share with friends, or try to sell some.

What a dream!
