Selling a very rare, original 1964 Epiphone Crestwood Custom solid body electric. This extremely cool model features two mini humbuckers, an Epiphone Tremotone Vibrato, and an original custom color Pelham blue finish - or as Epiphone calls it, “pacific blue”. These guitars are some of my favorites from the epi lineup. They are light weight easy playing, and sound great with its two mini humbuckers. This particular guitar dates to 1964 although it does have a transitional nut width. It’s not quite 1 5/8, but bigger than 1 9/16. It has mostly nickel parts. The guitar is in good condition and all original. If you’re familiar with these guitars, you’ll know they have short neck tenons and are prone to neck heel issues like the early double cut Les paul jrs. This one is showing some finish flakes around the heel, as well as two cracks that extend into the body. The guitar plays well though the frets are small from the factory. The neck is stable and the guitar holds tune very well, though a quick wick of some glue into the cracks would be advisable. I’m sure you are aware at how rare custom color epiphones and Gibsons are, and this is of the coolest colors. Finish shows normals checking, dings, some bubbling on the back from a reaction with a coil cable. The guitar also bears the name of the original owner “B Russell” on the back of the neck heel.
