The harness does not come with the copper shielding plate shown in the photos. That is for illustration purposes. However, it you would prefer yours DID come with that plate to keep the components secure and extra connectivity, please let us know before purchasing, as we have several to offer for a small, additional cost. There is aluminum, copper, and brass. Each has a different price.

Otherwise, we will send without the plate. The proprietary formula we paint onto the gavitt vintage wiring has a unique benefit of a firm and strong, long-lasting hold. If you've ever seen or felt Custom 920D or Mojo Tone or others, they have similar; their wiring is very tough, neat, and firmly in place. One of the benefits is, it's not flopping all over the place during installation or removal, and also always looks nice in the control cavity. It also serves as a protective coating and other. We still apply that whether you opt to get the additional grounding plate, or not
