Maxell 12.5" Metal Reels, misc plastic reels for 1/4" tape Late 1970s - Metal, plastic

LOT of 12.5” and 7” take-up reels – Maxell, Scotch, BASF, Ampex, TDK

These are being sold specifically as take-up reels, although the boxes, plastic bags, stickers, and tape may hold value for the right person. The condition of the take-up reels is “Excellent”, and the condition of the boxes, plastic bags, stickers, and ¼” tape varies and is not considered part of the “Excellent” rating.

All items were purchased between 1978 and 1980, for use with a Technics RS-1506US. The tape brands do not necessarily match the brand of each take-up reel, and should be considered an afterthought that may have potential use. All tape contains recorded content. Additionally, the boxes and packaging of each item are not guaranteed to match the reel or tape brands, although many items are interrelated and can easily be matched up. There is writing on the back of the boxes, mostly in pencil.

Since it is my decision to leave the tape on the reels and include other packaging, I am happy to pay for shipping.

INVENTORY:

(4) Maxell 12.5” metal reels, with box and ¼” tape. One of the reels has white triangular label stickers attached.

(1) BASF 12.5” metal reel, without box, with ¼” tape

(6) Scotch 7” plastic reels, with boxes and ¼” tape

(4) Miscellaneous branded 7” plastic reels, with miscellaneous boxes and ¼” tape. Reel brands are (1 each of) Scotch, BASF, Ampex, and TDK

(2) Scotch plastic reels, with no boxes or tape. One of the empty reels has writing on it which basic cleaning measures have not been effective at removing.
