Beautiful! This vintage Besson & Co Modele Francais Bb trumpet was made in London c.1948. Serial number 140242, although post war has the same sound and response characteristics as the French made Bessons. This rare example is in lacquered brass. Most of the trumpets from this period were silver or gold plated.
The condition is excellent with only some minor dings and marks. One small ding in the bell section bow and a slight bend in the receiver joint. No effect on the playability of the horn, and these can easily be repaired. The valves are in perfect condition with 100% perfect compression. Bell measures 4 5/8" and the bore appears to be .445". A beautiful sounding horn in great mechanical condition. Just serviced. Valves and slides move freely.

This lovely vintage Besson trumpet will include a case, mouthpiece and valve oil.
