The Martin M, or 0000 is the hybrid body size when you are looking for something with more meat than a 000 or more comfort than a dreadnought. With a 16″ lower bout, this body size came to be when Martin decided to make a flat top out of their archtop model. Think large OM or thin body jumbo. Volume, warmth and projection with more focused mids and highs.
This Custom Shop 0000 is model features the clear and balanced wood combination of premium grade Pacific Big Leaf Flamed Maple back and sides and a Certified European High Altitude Swiss Spruce top with full body 1933 Ambertone burst finish. Modeled after an M-40, this custom build features include Paua Pearl 45-style rosette and reduced hexagon fretboard inlays, Paua Pearl block headstock inlay, Guatemalan Rosewood fretboard and bridge, Flamed Maple 2-piece low profile neck with high performance taper, full Antique White body, fretboard and headstock bindings, Pacific Blig Leaf Flamed Maple headstock overlay, EVO Gold frets, Sitka Spruce forward shifted Golden Era scalloped braces, Liquid Metal Gold bridge pins with Paua dots, Gold Waverly tuners, 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 5/32″ saddle spacing and more.
