First introduced in 1958, the Epiphone Coronet is one of Epiphone's first and most successful original solid body electric guitar designs, and now it has come home to the USA! The latest Coronet is once again made in the USA and features the same symmetrical double cutaway mahogany body shape, three-on-a-side headstock shape, "Bikini" headstock badge, and pickguard shape as the earliest versions from 1958-1959. Modern improvements include a slightly wider (1.695") nut width and a comfortable SlimTaper neck profile, a slightly slimmer (1.375") body depth for better balance and lighter weight, a Graph Tech nut, and a single P-90 Soapbar pickup. Original USA-made Coronets have been played by everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Steve Marriott to Johnny Marr and Marshall Crenshaw. Now, you can discover the magic of this no-frills rock machine for yourself. A hardshell case is included.

This Epiphone Coronet is part of the USA Collection. It is made in Nashville, Tennessee, by the same skilled luthiers and craftspeople who build all of the Gibson USA models and uses the same high-quality materials and construction techniques.

The Epiphone Coronet features the classic "Bikini" headstock badge that was used on many of the earliest Epiphone models from Kalamazoo.

The symmetrical double-cutaway body design of the Epiphone Coronet provides exceptional, unimpeded access to the entire fretboard, including the upper notes, for outstanding playability and comfort.
- Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish
Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes are highly prized by players for their thinness and the way that they gracefully age and wear over time. This Epiphone Coronet model is finished using the same nitrocellulose lacquer and processes as used on all of Gibson's USA-built models.
