Ibanez 3550S TAMA Made Classical Guitar
Meet the 3550, a classical guitar from the Tama acoustic series, introduced by Ibanez in 1975. This guitar was made by Seisakusho Co. in Aichi, Japan.
The 3550 has a large concert body with a solid cedar top and jacaranda back and sides. The round sound hole is beautifully decorated with an inlaid wooden rosette. The mahogany neck is handmade and has a 19-fret ebony fingerboard and rosewood headstock. It also has a bone saddle on a rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and gold-plated tuners with butterfly-shaped buttons.
Fun fact: this model was made and sold by TAMA in 1974, but in 1975-1976 it was marketed through Ibanez. Production of this guitar was stopped in 1976.
