1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst - serial 510492Offered for sale is this exceptional and great-sounding Gibson Les Paul Junior, crafted in 1955 at the historic Kalamazoo factory. This guitar is a wonderful, lightweight example that comes from the highly coveted mid-1950s production period, where simple construction combined with premium old-growth wood resulted in some of the most resonant and powerful solidbody electric guitars ever built.This Junior is in overall very good condition, proudly wearing its original sunburst finish with the correct dark brown back and neck. The finish exhibits a beautiful, honest character with typical weather checking and light discoloration on the front face that only adds to its vintage vibe. To keep it performing at its absolute best, the guitar has been professionally refretted and fitted with a high-quality replacement bone nut, making it a spectacular player.Our bench analysis noted that a light, non-original clear overspray was present on the back of the body over the buckle wear area; this has been meticulously and professionally removed by our ToneTeam luthiers, successfully restoring the original lacquer underneath. The hardware and plastic parts are original. Turning to the electronics, the legendary P-90 pickup is completely untouched and unmolested.
