This is an extremely rare pre serial number black Ibanez 2469 Futura. These were made in very limited amounts in 1975 and 1976. Most had a natural but a few were black like this one. This guitar shows play wear, but there is no structural damage. All the gold finished hardware appears to be original as do the pickups, both of which are uncovered, though one of them may have been switched out as the polls are adjustable on the bridge pickup though not on the neck pickup. One of the tuning pegs is slightly bent but works fine (could probably be straightened out but I'm not going to try). It comes with the original hard case. All electronics function as they should. The finish has a few small nicks and scratches as any well played guitar of this age would be expected to have. The frets or worn but still have plenty of life left in them. All in all it is a good example of an extremely rare well-made Japanese guitar.
