Tube Limiter Compressor.
Vintage audio limiter compressor tube, made for the Department of Commerce Civil Aeronautic administration in the 50's.
Vintage and clean limiter unit, almost new.
Built by Maxson Instruments of Long Island, NY and it is model CA-1589.
The CA-1589 was used to limit the audio level going into radio transmitters.
Now a days used for grungy compressed bass, as parallel compressor for guitars, drums and vocals.
