Some partnerships shape an amp company as much as the amps shape the players. For more than 30 years, MESA/Boogie and John Petrucci have built, refined, and pushed each other, and the JP-2C is the result: our first unlimited-build Signature Amplifier.

If you play electric guitar, you know John Petrucci and Dream Theater. You may even be playing through one of the amps we’ve built with him over the years, including the Mark IIC+, Dual Rectifier, TriAxis, Mark IV, and Mark V. The JP-2C honors his extraordinary talent, his lifelong dedication to the craft, and the friendship and trust we’ve built along the way.

And yes, it’s a Mark IIC+. This is a next-generation reissue of the legendary amp that recording artists, MESA enthusiasts, and tone hounds around the world have chased for decades, often searching high and low for a good one. But this IIC+ goes further. It carries an enhanced feature set refined over three decades of research and development with John, so you get the voice you’ve always coveted, evolved with the insight of one of the most demanding players in modern music.

For those who want something even more special, the JP-2C is also offered as a limited-edition combo, with only 100 made worldwide. It’s a collectible piece of MESA/Boogie history and a world-class tone machine in one.
