This custom made TPP Dave Hill "Slade" Super-Yob Custom Tribute has been produced by The Painted Player Guitar Company, featuring a lightweight design with set-neck construction and Gibson USA Humbuckers, the Slade Super-Yob Tribute Model is a classic piece of design and a must for any dedicated Slade fan.  The guitar is available to order in the original "Framus Orange-Burst" and is available to order in "Cosmic Silver" finish too!  Every Slade Super-Yob Tribute Model also comes complete with custom made, fitted Hardcase with Buy it Now / Asking price, If you purchase this instrument with a best offer the case is not included, but you may contact us to order this special hard case as an extra.

The History

Originally custom made for guitarist Dave Hill by Bavarian guitar company Framus, then later by great British guitar Luthier John Birch, the Slade Super-Yob is one of the most original and iconic guitars of the 70’s.  Based on a 1950’s science fiction ‘ray gun’ of sorts, the Super-Yob’s unusual body shape and vibrant colour schemes made it instantly recognisable and synonymous with the iconic Dave Hill.  The Slade Super-Yob Tribute Model is fully handcrafted by our talented Luthiers and features its own original tones that make it both classical in homage and also something very unique.
