Vintage 1980 Ibanez Musician MC924 4-String Electric Bass Guitar

What’s special about this bass: This is a phenomenal sounding and great playing Ibanez Musician bass with an extremely versatile EQ system that enables the player to dial in virtually any sound. The pickups sound exceptional and the neck is remarkably comfortable allowing for smooth playing. This instrument features great construction and tone woods including a neck-through-body design with an ash body so the bass has plenty of natural sustain!

Condition: Very good shape! There are various minor surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the bass with some buckle rash on the back. Most notable is a large gauge in the top between the two pickups. This is merely a cosmetic nuance as it does not affect playability or sound. There are two extra screw holes next to the strap button on the bass side horn from previously installed strap buttons. Fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. One tone control is unoriginal however all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.

Body: Solid contoured ash body with a maple neck through body design in a dark stain finish. Top-load bridge with four individual saddles.

Neck: Super comfortable 5-piece maple neck with neck-through-body construction. Ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Sealed Ibanez tuners, 34” scale length.

Pickups/Electronics: Original pickups in the neck and bridge with controls for pickup balance, master volume, master tone, EQ tone bass, EQ tone middle, EQ tone treble and an on/off EQ switch.
