How do I connect it? Does it require power?
This is an extension switch for the Boss ES-8 - it connects to the “CTL IN” jack with a stereo (TRS) cable. No power cable is required. One cable and you’re ready to go!
What does the switch do?
The functions of the switches are programmed in the editor just like any of the other switches. Refer to your manual for the functions of the extension switch.
How wide is the switch?
The width of the ES-8 switch is 1.75” (44,45 mm). This is a reasonable balance of ergonomics and aesthetics without taking more space (side to side) than a typical dual-switch mini enclosure. Custom widths or optional gap spacers are also available.
Does this switch work with the MS-3 or ES-5 units?
This switch should work with these controllers as well, but we offer smaller switch that matches the profile of those controllers. If you want a switch for another Boss (or any other controller) just reach out and we will see what we can do.
