We are extremely excited to list for sale an AMAZING R13 Prestige (model # BC1133L-2-0) professional Bb clarinet.
Our shop received this clarinet a few weeks ago for consignment. We have just completed a full repad on this instrument by our experienced and professional woodwind technicians. All keywork has been fully restored to its original specifications. This clarinet plays perfectly and sounds absolutely amazing. What a gift this will make!
There is one blemish on this instrument but absolutely should not be a deal-breaker. The top left hand thumb key ring is worn (Pictures included). DOES NOT affect the playability. Wood and all other keywork are in excellent condition. All corks, springs, and pads are perfect. The only reason this clarinet is not listed as excellent condition is due to the wear on the thumb key. No cracks or dings otherwise.
Priced appropriately. This clarinet sells for $8422 brand new. MSRP is currently over $14k in the 2024 catalog.
FYI: I have recently asked how much it would cost to replace the worn key directly from Buffet Crampon and was told approximately $25 for the key. you would essentially have a brand new clarinet at that point.
This is one of the top clarinets in the R13 bore family. The granadilla wood is carefully selected for its acoustic and aesthetic qualities, and the wood is carefully polished and left in its natural color. The mechanics are prepared and finished with great precision: milling holes inside the specifications according to the Buffet Crampon expertise The tenons of the body are capped with metal rings in order to limit the risk of cracks. The mechanics are carefully assembled and adjusted by expert technicians.
