This mahogany Roy Smeck soprano uke is in excellent shape! Really cool to find one that was this well cared-for. I listed it as excellent, but it is near-mint.
If you're familiar with these, this uke is just what you'd expect. Really nice vintage sound...both rich and chimey.
Fantastic player. Action and intonation are excellent. The plastic fretboard doesn't have any real wear, aside from a little hairline near the body (removed it to clean and the crack is not through the plastic), and bridge is in great shape.
The OEM tuners were pretty much spent, so I swapped them out with somewhat similar friction tuners. The new friction tuners hold tune very well (new strings though, so they will need a hot minute to break in). This may be a good pro-player if you add some modern modern tuners.
No repairs, no damage. Aside from a couple dings to the headstock, even the finish is near-mint.
Comes with a gig bag, strung up and ready to play!
