Here for sale we have a Gibson ES-333 in Natural finish. Made in the USA in 2003, this guitar was introduced as an affordable alternative to the ES-335, with several cost saving features such as the thin Satin finish and silkscreen headstock logo, along with an access cover for the electronics. A set-neck construction is employed, and comprises a Laminated Maple/Poplar body with Maple centre block, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Nickel hardware including an ABR-1 bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. A pair of Gibson 490R/498T pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays exceptionally well, with the '60s SlimTaper profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is slim enough for fast articulate playing whilst still providing a substantial grip for chord playing. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers; very dark in appearance and with a tight grain provides a nicely smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. The familiar lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, making for a fatigue-free playing experience in both standing and seated positions.
The pair of Gibson humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, just as you would expect with a Gibson guitar. The semi-hollow construction provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique and unmistakable voice. The neck pickup is round and smooth, perfect for solos or lead lines, whilst the brightness of the bridge pickup is well suited to rock riffs or rhythm parts. The independent volume and tone controls offer comprehensive control of your sound, and feel nicely responsive to small changes.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching to the front face, visible under direct light from certain angles. Any other markings are difficult to discern.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A small dent is present to the treble side rear of the neck beside the binding at the 5th fret. This is lightly felt under the finger but does not impact the playability of the instrument. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has buffed to a light gloss through regular use. Some very light tooling marks are visible to the bass side of the binding at the 19th fret.
Body: Overall excellent condition. A light crack in the lacquer is present at the bottom edge by the strap button, with further light cracking near the binding here. This is purely cosmetic and presents no structural concern. A very light scuff mark can be seen on the rear binding at the bottom edge. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
