THORN Brass Knuckle 1-pc. compensated brass saddle 12" radius

Designed to match 12" radius fretboards and " 7-1/4" to 9-1/2" Compound Radius " fretboards found on many Custom Shop guitars.

NOS / Polished Version - The Thorn Brass Knuckle is a 1-pc. compensated saddle for T-style 3-saddle bridges, designed 19 years ago by Ron Thorn - the first Principal Master Builder at the Fender Custom Shop.

Increased sustain, accurate intonation, and solid coupling between strings and bridge plate.
The advantage is all 6 of the strings' energy is transferred through just 2 points of contact between the Brass Knuckle and the bridge plate, instead of 6 found on a traditional 3-saddle arrangement.

In addition, the Brass Knuckle prevents lateral saddle movement which plagues traditional 3-saddle arrangements, often resulting in uneven string spacing, high e-string flopping off the side of the fretboard, and strings hanging up on height-adjustment screws causing buzzing and horrible sustain.

Works with tradition String-thru or Top-load bridges with most non-wound G-string gauge string sets (9-42, 10-46, 11-49 etc.)
