1977 Fender Precision Bass in sunburst with a rosewood fretboard.
The fretboard is particularly nice as it’s very dark and tight grained, and the back of the neck has birds-eye maple figuring which is not something you see very often in Fender’s of this era, and is really eye-catching.
All the pots date to 1977 (actually, one has solder over the date but all the other markings match the other one so safe to assume it’s original)
The pickguard has the serial number sticker underneath which matches the number on the headstock, another nice touch.
The frets are excellent, as is the condition overall. A few marks obviously, as it’s 47 years old, but nothing bad and no cracks.
The red part of the sunburst has faded on the front, a common occurrence if stored in a bright room, which is a shame but still lovely to look at.
Comes with the original hard case, manual and tag, plus chrome covers. A real collectors item.
