I received this Peavey Axcelerator this past year. Truly, it is one of the best playing basses I have ever had. The pickups sound great in a mix, and the action is very low. The serial number states it is a 1995, which (in conjunction with the "Made in the USA stamp on the headstock) means it was built in the USA before Peavey moved a lot of production overseas. It is an active bass with a battery, and all electronics are stock. The whole bass is stock with the exception of the tuners; these were swapped by the previous owner for Gotohs.
As for condition, it is very good for a 30-year old instrument. There is general light wear which indicates a rarely-played instrument. There are a few minor chips in the neck and finish that I have pictured as well. The case functions perfectly and has no rust, mildew, or smell. The exterior has normal scuffs but is also in very good condition.
