• 1983 Ibanez Roadstar II (Deluxe) RS505 CS. With Original Hard Shell Case.

• VG++ -to- Exc Condition. Made in Japan. From my personal collection. Look at the photos. A collectable guitar, or a player for fans of vintage feel and sound. Not an Ibanez RG or AZ. More like a hot Strat but feels and sounds different. Take a good look. Other listings may say "excellent condition" and then you'll find gouges on the guitar. Not the case here.

• Cherry Sunburst finish on Birds Eye Maple-over-Alder body. Multi-layer binding. Binding has no separation or damage. Chrome hardware. Ivory PUP covers, switch plate, back plates. Original electronics and hardware. Internal copper foil shielding. New nut. No gouges in the body.

• 7.25 radius (similar to vintage Fender guitars). Frets are original, small width, short height and have been lightly leveled and dressed.

• Scale: 648mm/ 25½”. Bolt neck. You can find more neck specs with a simple internet search. -- Set-up for and strung with new D'Addario .010-.046 .

• Ibanez “Super Power 6” single coil pickups & 5-position blade switch. Rather than replacing the switch I used Detoxit if it had any scratchiness to keep it original. Body cavities, including PUP routs, are shielded with grounded copper foil (aftermarket by me).
No re-wiring or replacement of components.

• Ibanez “Hard Rocker" non-locking, synchronized tremolo bridge with original tremolo arm. (Bar was issued with the black tip.) Bridge is fully adjustable per string. All parts are intact and in perfect condition.
I preferred to have it decked rather than floating, playing it like a hard-tail.

• Tuners: Ibanez Smooth Tuner II.

• The switch plate has 2 small cracks at screws, but no breaks. All screws and parts are on the guitar - no replacements or lost pieces. Has 2 extra grip rings for volume and tone knobs.

• No crazing or haze in finish. Some small marks on the back of the body (see photos) from the belt. A few very minor marks and pick marks (on surface, not scratches) in a couple other places. Tiny ding on back of neck near head stock behind 2nd fret. (see photo) Does not affect playability and I never felt it when playing. No gouges, chips or scratches mar the front, sides or edges. Bright color, clear glossy finish.

• Original plastic nut was replaced with an Earvana Compensated nut. (The original had cracked and disintegrated.) Nut was slightly shimmed with maple for height - the neck has a thick slab of rosewood for the fretboard. Nut is lightly glued in place (small amount of wood glue) for future removal if desired. Shim is super-glued to nut.
The truss rod is stiff but can be adjusted.

• Due to differences in computer monitors and potential lack of calibration, I can not be responsible for visual deviations (color balance, contrast, etc) from this listing and the physical guitar. As a professional photographer I take great care in lighting and color balancing the images I post.

Layers of paper placed under the strings to protect the neck/frets. Additional padding inside the case to ensure accidental jars or drops by shippers have little-to-no-chance to damage the guitar. I.E. it will be well packed. (Every guitar shipped to you should have the same care applied.)

It’s a used guitar from 1983. As such, despite it’s great condition, I offer no warranty, refunds, substitutions, etc. and have presented my own photographs of the instrument along with this full description. Rock on.
