While some were produced in 1953, 1954 was the first full year for the classy-looking, tuxedo-inspired Gibson Les Paul Custom. The Custom was the first guitar to come equipped with the now-legendary ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. This Custom Shop made to measure is equipped with two pickups, one alnico 5 staple pickup and one soapbar P90 pickup and gold hardware. It also has a 1-piece mahogany body, Kluson Waffleback tuners with plastic buttons, CTS potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, and comes with a magnificent Murphy Lab light aged silverburst finish.
