Vintage 1980 Fender Grey Bottom Stratocaster pickup set.
This KILLER pickup set is fully original and came to us from an all original 1980Fender Strat.
Very cool set from the early 80's. This set is factory original with two ink-stamped "grey bottoms" and one of the (then) brand new Fender Plastic bobbin pickups with the 016730 stamp. While these pickups are traditionally associated with the more "scooped" Hendrix type tones, these early Grey Bottoms are incredibly warm and responsive. Very warm sounding with tons of detail, clarity and sparkle.
All windings are factory original as are the original plastic coated lead wires. A fantastic way to get your vintage 80's Strat back to stock, or experiment with some nearly 45 year old vintage Fender tone in your new axe!!
