This beautiful white Ovation Balladeer acoustic guitar, Model 1111-6 was manufactured between 1967 and 1972 in the New Hartford, CT (USA) plant.

S/N: 032383

This guitar features:

  • a bridge of walnut
  • an ebony fingerboard
  • nickel silver frets (.001)
  • a five piece laminated neck of mahogany and rock maple
  • a fully adjustable steel tension rod
  • a hand rubbed polyester finish
  • a satin finished lychrachord (hard round back) bowl which gives this guitar the unique sound Ovations are known for
  • a soundboard of choice Sitka spruce
  • a distinctive 3-dimensional rosette
  • Ivory grained bonding on the soundboard
  • Mother of pearl inlays

There are a few imperfections that are documented in the photos. There is some slight cracking in the ivory soundboard bonding (beneath the bridge) due to age that does not appear to affect the sound of the instrument at all. There is a slight 1-inch crack in the clear laminate coating of the soundboard near the 17th fret that is also just cosmetic and not very noticeable. Thanks to the hardback “bowl” design, this guitar has a very unique and resonant sound for an acoustic - something that Ovations are known for. It has been greatly loved and enjoyed.

The guitar will ship in its original custom-fitted case which is in excellent condition.
