Limited to 82 units worldwide! Only 5 Rio Dream Bass are available in Japan!

The Rio Dream Bass is a signature model of John Taylor, bassist of the world-famous band Duran Duran, and is a special model that combines wood and coloring that cannot be selected as normal options based on the NG series that Taylor used in his live performances.
This is the last one of the 82 units produced worldwide to be shipped in Japan.

The wood composition of this instrument is a new combination that differs from the previous CC series and NG series, and it is equipped with a Nyatoh (Natoh) body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard with 'Rio Eye' inlay at the 12th fret, and a newly developed integrated bridge 'Minimalist'. It is equipped with a drop tuner on the 4th string, and the range can be expanded while still having a 4-string neck that is easy to grip.
The body color is also reminiscent of the cover design of Duran Duran's album 'Rio' released in 1982, with a stripe pattern.

The pickup is equipped with three neodymium magnet FD3n, and has a sound variation reminiscent of J, P, and MM types.
The Neve onboard preamp, which is a feature of this unit, was developed when Neve used a Neve console during the recording of Duran Duran's album at the time of the development of the John Taylor model, which led to the development of Neve's first onboard preamp.
The simple operability with two EQs for treble and bass, and the natural and clear variation like a clean booster produce a very rich low end and a sharp high range that does not interfere with the ensemble no matter where the knob is turned, making it suitable for both studio musicians and live musicians.

The scale starts at 36.25 inches for the 4th string, and the FANNED-FRET SYSTEM is used, with the 1st string being 34 inches, the same as the normal long scale, so all strings output a well-balanced tension and solid tone.
The FANNED-FRET SYSTEM (Multi Scale), which has already been adopted by many brands, has frets arranged in accordance with the natural movement of the human arm, so everyone who has tried it out in the store has said that it is 'surprisingly easy to play.' The body design, which does not at all make you feel the ultra-long 36.25-inch scale, is also likely to help this.

This is the last one available for order in our store, so don't miss out!
