Eliton c.ton Electric Cello

The c.ton radically redefines travel, performance, and practice on the cello without compromising tactile feel or sound production. Playing on the c.ton feels no different than playing on a traditional acoustic cello. But the c.ton folds down to a compact shape, comes with a built-in acoustic and electronic amplification system, and is crafted with the uncompromising eye and touch of a violin luthier. You can’t reinvent the cello and forget about 300+ years of tradition. The c.ton does not claim to ever replace an acoustic cello. It does however lay claim to making an instrument that is ideally adapted to the modern world—a world where convenience, portability, quality, and authenticity are praised characteristics. As violin luthiers, we took all of the acoustic cello’s tradition, and poured it into a labor-of-love for the c.ton, killing ourselves over every last detail. We demanded perfection from our product and we succeeded. We have demonstrated the c.ton to many world-renowned musicians and their commentary pushed us to continue innovating.
